"Helping Our Kids Shine" January is School Board Recognition Month  Plainview ISD would like to take this opportunity to thank our Board of Trustees for their leadership. They are volunteers working for our kids.

News & Announcements                archive Beginning February 1st, seniors at Plainview High School and Houston School may begin picking up Local Scholarship Applications from Mrs. Parker or Mrs. Wiseman.  All applications are due back to Mrs. Parker by 4:00 p.m. on February 24th.      There will be a meeting for parents of PHS sophomores on Thursday, January 26 at 7:00pm in the PHS cafeteria.  The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on scheduling for the 2012-13 school year. Among the topics to be covered will be dual credit courses. These are courses that provide high school and college credit at the same time.   STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) is being implemented during the 2011-12 school year and will replace the TAKS tests. To help you better understand these changes, we have created an  informational page on STAAR that can be accessed HERE.
