Beginning February 1st, seniors at Plainview High School and Houston School may begin picking up Local Scholarship Applications from Mrs. Parker or Mrs. Wiseman.  All applications are due back to Mrs. Parker by 4:00 p.m. on February 24th. 
   

There will be a meeting for parents of PHS sophomores on Thursday, January 26 at 7:00pm in the PHS cafeteria.  The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on scheduling for the 2012-13 school year. Among the topics to be covered will be dual credit courses. These are courses that provide high school and college credit at the same time.
  STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) is being implemented during the 2011-12 school year and will replace the TAKS tests. To help you better understand these changes, we have created an  informational page on STAAR that can be accessed HERE.

PHS Renovation Project 

The Plainview ISD Board of Trustees initiated the PHS renovation project in 2010.  The renovation will be done in phases. Groundbreaking was held on September 27, 2011.  Phase 1 will be completed  by July 2012. Phases 2 and 3 will  be completed by August 2013. The renovations will add a new face to the campus while adding a new library, computer labs, offices and classrooms.
