School Health Services
______________________________________________________________________________________

The health, well-being, and safety of our school children is our top priority.

Plainview I.S.D. School Nurses play a crucial role in students' health care needs. As part of a health care team, school nurses often take the lead in prevention, early detection and correction of health problems.  School nurses monitor required immunizations and mandated health screenings. They maintain communication with parents as needed. Each school nurse is also an educator, encouraging students to live a healthy lifestyle.

Parents, the Plainview Independent School District encourages you to have your child immunized prior to the new school year.  Each campus must receive verification that your child has received the necessary immunization in order for him/her to attend school.  Immunizations are the law!  Information on required immunizations

New School Immunization Requirements Effective August 1, 2009  (see news release)
